Luxury Villa and apartment rental and Self catering , dubai accomodationIt was reported as far back as the 15th century that Dubai was a prosperous pearl-diving and fishing community. It was still much the same by the beginning of the 20th century with over 300 pearl-diving dhows stationed in Dubai Creek. This small fishing village, clustered around the mouth of the Creek gradually grew into a small trading port. This was the beginning of Modern Dubai when 800 members of the Bani Yas tribe under the Al Maktoum family came to settle here. The Maktoum’s have ruled ever since and each generation has produced a leader with acute business acumen growing and steering Dubai from an old world town to the modern state of the art city that it is today.
